Suspect sought in deadly Aliso Viejo shooting
Orange County sheriff's officials released the photo of a suspect being sought in an Aliso Viejo shooting that left two people dead and two others critically injured on Thursday.

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (KABC) -- Orange County sheriff's officials released the photo of a suspect being sought in an Aliso Viejo shooting that left two people dead and two others critically injured on Thursday.

Sheriff's officials confirmed Luke William Ferguson is at large and armed. Officials said the suspect is a 26-year-old man who is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has a tattoo that has the numbers 90291 on his right shin.

Sheriff's deputies said the shooting took place at a residence on Ashbury Court near Huntington Lane and Oak Grove in "The Hamptons" neighborhood. The two injured victims, both males in their 50s, were taken to a local hospital.

The deceased victims were a man and a woman of unknown ages, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

The call came from a neighbor who heard an argument end in gunshots in the middle of the afternoon. Sheriff's officials said they're waiting for search warrants and working on identifying the two who died at the home.

Officials were not yet releasing any possible motives for the shooting and have not recovered any weapons at the house.

Resident Stephanie Reynolds said she couldn't believe shots were fired in what is described as a normally calm neighborhood.

The incident prompted a brief lockdown of Aliso Viejo Middle School after a loud bang was heard outside of the campus. There was no incident at the school, however, according to deputies.

Deputies believe the sound heard at the school was unrelated to the shooting, which took place in an area not close to the campus.
