CERRITOS, Calif. (KABC) -- Two people were killed after a one-vehicle crash off the 605 Freeway in Cerritos early Thursday.

The California Highway Patrol said the driver of a black Nissan sedan lost control of the car, which then flew off the freeway and into a tree. The collision occurred at about 12:30 a.m. near the 91 Freeway exit.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.

No immediate information was available on the identities of the victims.
