Wilacre Park in Studio City closed for renovations until 2018

STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- People who frequent the hills in Studio City will need to find a new place to hike.

Wilacre Park on Fryman Road is closed starting Tuesday and will be for several months.

The park will be undergoing upgrades and renovations. Crews will be installing permanent restrooms and increasing access to parking and picnic areas for people with limited mobility.

Wilacre Park is home to the Betty B. Dearing Trail and the Cross Mountain Park trail system.

The park will reopen in January of 2018.
