Firefighters contain small brush fire near Baldwin Hills

BALDWIN HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Firefighters contained a small brush fire that burned at the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area near Baldwin Hills on Sunday.

Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded at about 10:40 a.m. to the 4100 block of S. La Cienega Boulevard to assist L.A. County fire crews with the firefight, according to LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey.

The blaze was measured at a 1/2 acre and was 100 percent contained by 1 p.m., L.A. County fire officials said.

The cause of the fire was not yet known.
