Police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman who were found with stab wounds in Baldwin Park Tuesday.

BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman who were found with stab wounds in Baldwin Park Tuesday.

Investigators said both victims were pronounced dead at the scene inside a residence on the 4200 block of Center Street after officers responded to a welfare check call.

Both the man and the woman had stab wounds to their upper torsos, according to police.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing. No information on a suspect or suspects or the circumstances of the deaths was immediately available.

Neighbors said police were at the home Monday afternoon. "They looked around inside," said resident Megan Thompson. "I don't know what they were doing inside, and then they came out and the left."

"It was pretty strange considering that we knew the cops were here yesterday," Thompson continued. "It's also kind of scary because you don't really hear about people getting stabbed on this street in particular."

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
