NORWALK, Calif. (KABC) -- Two suspects and a juvenile were taken into custody in connection with a deputy-involved shooting in Norwalk, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials said Tuesday.
Detectives responded to Hermosillo Park, located in the 11900 block of 162nd Street, regarding a shooting around 5 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, they saw three men fleeing the scene. One of the men pulled what appeared to be a gun and pointed it at deputies.
A deputy-involved shooting occurred, and the suspects fled into a nearby house in the 11900 block of 162nd Street, sheriff's officials said. No officers were injured in the deputy-involved shooting.
A gunshot victim was never found at the location, but a firearm was recovered, according to sheriff's officials.
Authorities said all three suspects got away and a containment area was set up north of the 91 Freeway to 166th Street and it extended east of Pioneer Boulevard.
After an hourslong search, two men and a juvenile exited a nearby home and were taken into custody, officials said. A gun was recovered after a search of the house.
The suspects and underage boy, whose names were not released, were arrested and transported to the Norwalk Station, where they were booked for assault on a peace officer. They were being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
