3 teens stabbed outside Hawthorne church festival
Three teenagers were stabbed during a fight outside of a church festival in Hawthorne Saturday evening.

HAWTHORNE, Calif. (KABC) -- Three teenagers were stabbed during a fight outside of a church festival in Hawthorne Saturday evening.

Authorities responded to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in the 11900 block of Acacia Street around 9 p.m.

Firefighters were the first to arrive on scene and found the stabbing victims, who were all taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities said several kids started fighting on a street outside of the festival. All of the victims are boys between 13 and 14 years old.

One of the victims was found in the parking lot of an Auto Zone, authorities said. Another one of the victims is said to have run back into the festival.

Authorities said the teen found in the parking lot suffered the most serious stab wounds.

There was no description of the suspects involved in the incident.

The church was holding an annual fiesta, according to its website.

The investigation was ongoing.
