Apple Store robbery caught on video in Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA, Calif. (KABC) -- Surveillance video captured five suspects robbing an Apple Store in Costa Mesa on Monday night.

The heist involved $29,000 worth of iPhones and iPads that were on display at the South Coast Plaza location.

An off-duty police officer shopping at the mall attempted to stop the suspects, who witnesses say fled in a silver Infinity sedan.

There were no weapons seen in the video.
