Laura Harling

Gov. Jerry Brown joined the groundbreaking on California's high-speed rail system this week. To commemorate the occasion, California artist Laura Harling has created a sculpture of Brown, complete with his dog Sutter in the back of a high-speed rail car.

Harling began sculpting Brown when she worked as a janitor for the state in the 1980s. She was assigned to clean his bachelor pad.

She's also sculpted other notable figures, including Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, President Barack Obama and Martha Stewart.
