Dodger Stadium aerial tram proposal takes another step forward

ELYSIAN PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Attention, Dodger fans! Plans for an aerial tram between Union Station and Dodger Stadium are taking another step forward.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority has signed a letter of intent to formally begin negotiations with the company that wants to build it.

The $125 million gondola would ferry 5,000 fans an hour to and from Dodger Stadium.

The company hopes to have the gondola up and running by 2022.
