Delta bans animals on long flights
Delta has put new policies in place for emotional support animals starting Dec. 18.

LOS ANGELES -- Delta has put new policies in place for emotional support animals starting Dec. 18.

The airline will no longer allow puppies and kittens under 4-months-old to board their planes. They've also banned all animals on flights longer than eight hours.

The changes begin next Tuesday but there will be exceptions for passengers who have already bought tickets for Christmas and New Year's.
