LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Porto's Bakery is one of more than one hundred businesses helping raise money for Children's Hospital Los Angeles as part of the Make March Matter campaign.

The popular eatery is selling butterfly-shaped cookies with the CHLA logo and donating a portion of the money raised to CHLA.

"We're selling almost 500 every day at every bakery which is awesome because that means we can help out a lot," Chef Arianna Navarro said.

The hospital's goal is to raise $1,000,000 every March. Since the annual campaign began in 2016, it has either met or exceeded the goal, said Jillian Green of CHLA.

Porto's co-owner Betty Porto said she values the quality care the hospital provides and admires the brave children it serves.

"When you see these kids, they're amazing. They're like rock stars, movie stars, and they act so normal but as a mother when I go there, I think about my own children and that I would want them to have the kind of support that they're getting every day at Children's Hospital," said Porto.

Other participating businesses include IHOP, Shake Shack and California Pizza Kitchen. For more details on the monthlong campaign, you can visit www.makemarchmatter.org.
