There are new regulations for Airbnb going into effect in July. Here's what you should know.Airbnb owners will have to follow new regulations starting in July. These regulations are being put in place due to the growing housing crisis and to legalize short-term rentals.

New regulations for Airbnb will go into effect in July.

These regulations are being put in place due to the growing housing crisis and to legalize short-term rentals.

Here are some of the regulations:

-Only a primary residence can be rented out, this means the owner has to live in this residence for at least six months out of the year

-Hosts can't register or operate more than one home-sharing rental unit at a time

-Hosts cannot home-share for more then 120 days unless they have registered with the city for "extended home-sharing"
