SKID ROW HELP: Volunteers feed the homeless with 1,000 burritos

SKID ROW, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Volunteers make 1,000 burritos in Lincoln Heights to feed the homeless in Skid Row.

They are part of the Burrito Project, an organization that has chapters across the U.S. and Canada.

The nonprofit organization is composed of a group of friends who meet monthly to make burritos for the homeless.

Once the burritos are made, they hand out the food along with bottled water and toiletry kits, clothing, blankets, etc. to the people experiencing homelessness in Skid Row. Pasadena & surrounding areas.

All of the resources need to make the burritos are donations from people or restaurants.

The creator of the Burrito Project, Alan Pinnel, has been feeding the homeless with his friends for nearly ten years.
