Reclaiming L.A.'s Murals
Public art in Los Angeles is undergoing a renaissance! Isabel Rojas-Williams of the Mural Conservancy of L.A. shows us two of their current restoration projects - one along the 101 Freeway in downtown and another featuring the legendary Mexican actor Anthony Quinn on Broadway Street.

Best Vistas: Santa Monica Pier
The Santa Monica pier first opened in 1909, and was widened in 1916 to add an amusement park along its south side. Parts of it have collapsed over the years, but it's been rebuilt stronger than ever. Proposition 1 was passed in 1975 to preserve the pier forever. It's definitely one of the best vistas in L.A.!

An L.A. classic in Koreatown, Guelaguetza just won the James Beard Foundation's American Classics award, which is like winning an Oscar in the food world! So, we had to visit our friends for a bite of their incredible Oaxacan food and a quick taste of their housemade micheladas!
Dead Sea Scrolls at the California Science Center
For the first time in Los Angeles, the California Science Center presents the largest Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition ever mounted outside of Israel, featuring over 600 ancient artifacts on display through Sept. 7, 2015.
