CicLAvia headed to Pasadena in May
PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Pasadena will be hosting its first ever CicLAvia event on Sunday, May 31.
The car-free event will start along Colorado Boulevard and have participants travel through the historic downtown area. The 3.5-mile route will connect to the Memorial Park and Del Mar Metro Gold Line stations.
Paths off the main route can lead visitors down Raymond Avenue or Lake Street to local parks.
The event is free. Anyone wishing to participate can ride their bike, skateboard, roller blade or walk.
The following streets will be closed starting at 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.:
Cars can cross the routes at designated major intersections. Pasadena police, traffic controllers and CicLAvia volunteers will be at car-crossing points to help with the flow of traffic.
CicLAvia Pasadena is being paid for with a grant from Metro Los Angeles.
