California Highway Patrol investigates body hit on 605 Freeway

The 605 Freeway heading southbound was down to two lanes Tuesday evening due to a body in the roadway just south of Carson in Long Beach.

The California Highway Patrol said the person either jumped or was thrown from the passenger side of a vehicle.

While on the freeway, the victim was hit by another car.

The CHP said their investigation into the death is ongoing.
