ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- The new Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway took a big step forward in its construction at Disneyland. The first steel beam was set in place at the future attraction in Anaheim.

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock shared the news on social media, captioning his behind-the-scenes post the "happiest view on Earth."

Construction has been continuing amid the coronavirus pandemic, but the attraction's debut has been pushed back a year to 2023.

The same ride already opened at Walt Disney World in Florida earlier this year, shortly before the pandemic forced the closure of the park. It has now reopened.

The Walt Disney Co. is the parent company of this station.
