SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An 8-year-old girl, who was abducted by her biological mother in South Los Angeles, has been found safe, police said.

Police say Dezhane Norton is in good health, but they did not release any other details about where or how she was found.

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, the girl was taken to a McDonald's restaurant on the 1700 block of West Century Boulevard to meet with her mother, 42-year-old Kivon Norton.

Shortly after the meeting, surveillance video shows the mother and daughter walking away from the location without the permission of Dezhane's grandparents, who are her legal guardians.
