ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- A power outage caused some flights to be canceled at Ontario International Airport on Wednesday.

Airport officials said there was a power outage in terminal 2 when a transformer went down. Terminal 2 houses AeroMexico, Alaska, Delta, United and Volaris.

Backup generators were quickly switched on, but the supply of electricity was limited.

The ticketing and baggage claim areas were affected.

At least eight flights were canceled - four incoming flights and four outgoing flights. Nearly a dozen other flights were delayed.
