Injured hiker hoisted to safety in Pacific Palisades

PACIFIC PALISADES, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An injured hiker had to be airlifted to safety by Los Angeles County fire crews in Pacific Palisades on Monday.

The 37-year-old woman suffered an unknown injury and was not able to hike out of the Temescal Canyon Park area. A distress call was placed shortly before 9:45 a.m.

There was no word on exactly what her injuries were, but they were described as not life-threatening. The woman was conscious and talking to medics.

The hiker was hoisted up to a helicopter and transported to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
