Alhambra police, firefighters confiscate dozens of illegal fireworks

ALHAMBRA, Calif. (KABC) -- Alhambra police officers responded to more than 100 calls of illegal fireworks in the area on the Fourth of July, confiscating dozens of the items.

The police department posted a photo of the patrol car of one of its officers, who was helped out by a fire department arson investigator. The trunk and backseat of the car were filled with fireworks, which officers and fire personnel collected throughout the night.

Authorities did not release how many fireworks were confiscated.
