ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was shot in the leg after he confronted two suspects who were vandalizing his home in unincorporated Anaheim on Sunday.

The 20-year-old victim came home around 3 a.m. and found the vandals tagging his residence in the 8300 block of Augusta Drive, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

When he confronted the suspects, he was shot in the leg. The taggers fled the scene.

The victim was transported to the trauma center at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center to be treated. Authorities said his injury was not considered life-threatening.

A description of the suspects was not available. The incident was under investigation.
