2 rescued after car plunges off cliff in Angeles National Forest

ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST (KABC) -- Two people were rescued after their car rolled over a cliff in the Angeles National Forest early Monday morning.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. on Sand Canyon and Little Tujunga Canyon roads.

Authorities don't know how, but a car fell went down the cliff, plunging roughly 50 feet down an embankment.

Firefighters helped bring the two people inside to safety. Both appeared to be OK.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
