ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- A candlelight vigil was held Tuesday night for three people killed in a rollover crash in Arcadia.
Shattered by the loss of three young lives, grieving relatives and friends held the vigil at the scene of the horrific car accident.
Four friends had left a nearby bar and were traveling on Live Oak Avenue around 2 a.m. when their car slammed into a wall and overturned.
The driver, 21-year-old Marcus Garcia died at the scene. His passengers, 21-year-old Raymond Yniquez, an assistant softball coach at Arroyo High School, and Anna Velazquez, who was celebrating her 25th birthday, were also killed. A man in his 20s was hospitalized with critical injuries.
"It's tragic, so sad and even though...the other families aren't a part of us, now they are. We're all connected," cried Melinda Valdivia, a relative of one of the victims.
Meranda Jaramio said her brother, Marcus Garcia, was a very caring and joyful person.
"It is very difficult because Marcus brings light into the world," she said.
Loved ones described Raymond Yniquez as popular and kind. Joanne Cervantes said he was like a big brother to her son.
"My son's heart is broken over all this. Raymond had a big heart...and he was always there to help," she said.
Those taking part in the gathering tried to comfort each other but clearly felt the pain.
