Experts say a birth control pill can dramatically reduce a woman's risk of developing a certain kind of cancer.Researchers at Oxford University in London analyzed data from 45 studies worldwide. Their study revealed that birth control pills may protect women from getting ovarian cancer.

Experts say that protection may even last decades after a woman stops taking the pill.

The study also showed the longer a woman stayed on the pill, the lower her risk of developing ovarian cancer.
