Small helicopter crashes on 110 Fwy.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) Authorities say the helicopter crashes just after 11 p.m. Fire crews arrived to find the aircraft in flames. Debris was scattered on the freeway.

One body was found in the wreckage. The person has not yet been identified.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Bruce Nelson said the helicopter was a two-seated Robinson R22.

All southbound lanes were closed after the crash, though CHP was able to reopen some lanes in both directions.
