SAN FRANCISCO The class-action lawsuit filed Thursday in federal court claims
people with mobility and vision disabilities are being denied
access to some of the nation's most beautiful urban parks.
The suit contends the Golden Gate National Recreation Area
systematically excludes disabled people from restrooms, visitor
centers, trails, pathways and other areas.
A park spokesman says officials are looking into ways to address
those access issues.
