Haferman now says it's time to end all the drama, saying, "I decided that this was getting to be too time-consuming and it was starting to affect people other than myself." He's paid the ticket.
It was learned Tuesday that Officer James Britt, who issued the citation, had been ordered to Iraq. Britt was set to testify in Haferman's trial on March 6.
Managing Deputy District Attorney Ed Hazel says the case could not have continued if Britt was unable to take the stand.
