Overweight folks less likely to buckle up

Obesity may put people at a greater risk on the road.A new study shows overweight people are less likely to buckle up in the car. Federal standards only require seat belts accommodate a 215 pound man, creating a struggle for some to strap into their seats.

Researchers at Meharry Medical College in Nashville studied surveys from more than 250,000 people. They say as body mass index increased, seat belt use declined.
