In a letter to Clinton obtained by The Associated Press, State Senator Ruben Diaz Junior and Assemblyman Jose Peralta wrote that they are inclined to believe the explanation.
But they say it will be "troubling to many" if Solis Doyle left because of losses that they believe should be blamed on former President Bill Clinton and others.
