Massive weapons arsenal found in Torrance

The home's owner was arrested
TORRANCE, CA Four people were arrested Thursday for investigation of possessing narcotics after a drug investigation led to the home. Inside were 21 rifles, 14 handguns and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

Homeowner Russell Powell was among those arrested. Powell told the Daily Breeze of Torrance he is a gun collector and wasn't involved in any crime or terrorism. He said the guns were legally registered and the grenade launcher was a prop.

However, police said the guns were not stored but were scattered in rooms, and the machine gun was pointed at the front door.
