Boy suspended for pellet guns in school

Child is in the second grade
CANOGA PARK According to the Daily News, the boy was suspended indefinitely from Nevada Elementary school Friday after he reportedly waved the weapons around in front of other students.

School officials were alerted to the incident when a classmate of the boy was given one of the guns and that child's mother called the school.

The school's principal will notify each of the parents involved, and LAUSD police plan to interview the boy and his parents Monday.
