Exercise: what older people should know

The study looks at insulin and diabetes
A new study suggests it'll help improve the function of insulin producing cells in older people who are at risk of developing diabetes.

Researchers at the university of Michigan studied sedentary individuals aged 60 and older.

Participants worked out for one hour each day.

After just one week, their cell function improved by nearly 30 percent.

But the researchers say longer-term studies are needed.
