Police say someone opened fire on two women, killing one of them. The other victim was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown.
Authorities are calling this a gang-related attack.
A few hours later, just after midnight, a man was shot to death on the 300 block of West Magnolia Avenue.
Police do not believe this shooting was gang-related, but it's still unclear what led up to the deadly confrontation.
The victim has not been identified.
The shooters in both attacks got away.
