And it's only going to get worse. One research firm estimates a 7.5 percent increase every year for the next five years due to high oil prices, higher demand for corn to make alternative fuels, and poor wheat harvests.
Grocery prices continue to go up
We're seeing the fastest price increase in products like milk, eggs and bread since 1990. The Labor Department reports milk prices jumped 26 percent in the past year. Egg prices went up 40 percent.
