Residents made it clear they don't want them there.
"They need to be housed in their own community, not in another community where they owe no debt to these people," said Carson resident Gladyce Wall.
"Unfortunately, the law in this case requires we do not discriminate against a person's status when they come to check in the hotel," said hotel manager Hitesh Patel.
Carson officials are set to review sex offender laws to see if there are any potential loopholes.
