Alcohol sting busts adults buying for minors

NORWALK Police set-up underage decoys in four Southern California counties.

The decoys asked people entering a store to buy them alcohol. If they did, they were placed under arrest.

Operation "Shoulder Tap" was the largest sting ever in the state and involved more than a dozen law enforcement agencies.

The penalty for furnishing alcohol to a minor is a minimum $1,000 fine plus 24 hours of community service.
