Study: Hard for older women to stay fit

A study done by U.S. and British researchers found that older women are less able to use protein to build muscles. It could be due to menopause-related hormones -- experts say estrogen helps maintain bone mass, and when there's less estrogen, there's more likelihood there will be less muscle mass, as well.

Women can counter some of those effects by eating a lot of protein-rich foods like fish, eggs, and lean red meat, and by doing workouts with weights.
