Lakers hold off the Hornets, 107-104

Game proved to be action-packed
LOS ANGELES Vlad Radmanovich and Tyson Chandler almost came to blows in an intense confrontation.

Kobe Bryant proved that he's still got the moves with a series of fast breaks. Pau Gasol also threw down on the court Friday night. Lakers were up by 30 at one point in the 2nd quarter.

But then Chris Paul got going. He made nearly 17 assists to Chandler. The lead was down to 6.

Bryant finished two assists shy of a triple-double.

Out of the blue Peja Stojakovic buried a three-point shot.. And it was a 1-point game.

Just over the 3-minutes to go on the clock. Derek Fisher came up huge with a back-breaking three-pointer.

The Lakers held off the Hornets 107-104.

They're now just a half-game back of New Orleans for the top spot in the West.
