Plan to curse Yankees Stadium foiled

April 14, 2008 9:00:36 AM PDT
It was a nice try, but the New York Yankees have foiled a bold effort to curse their new stadium. It took stadium workers five hours and plenty of jackhammers to unearth a Boston Red Sox jersey sealed in concrete.

A few days ago, a construction worker, who is a Sox fan, buried the jersey in the foundation of the $1.3 billion stadium.

He then bragged about it, which was probably a mistake.

The Yankees are now considering suing that rogue employee, and as for the jersey, the team plans on donating it to charity.
