The calls began last Friday night and continued into Saturday. Officials said the children described local landmarks instead of ones where they claimed to be.
Authorities launched a massive search, then learned the children, a 13-year old girl and her 8-year-old cousin, were making prank phone calls because they were bored.
The pranksters will face charges.
