Police catch pursuit suspect in south L.A.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES The chase began Thursday night when officers tried to pull over the man for driving erratically at Western and Vernon avenues.

At one time he drove past an accident on the 110 Freeway, dodging firefighters. Police say he also threw hunks of marijuana out the car window.

The chase ended when he jumped out of the car in the 200 block of 111th Street near Main Street and started running.

Police caught him and no one was hurt.
