Elderly lacking sleep may risk health

Experts say a lack of sleep in the elderly can increase their risk of serious health problems like obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Experts also say elderly people need the same amount of sleep that they did when they were younger.

Insomnia affects almost half of adults age 60 and over.

Forty percent of adults suffer sleep apnea.
