Anti-depressant may slow M.S. effects

The popular anti-depressant Prozac may be key in helping slow the effects of multiple sclerosis.A Dutch study shows that people who took the drug had fewer brain lesions that are common with sufferers of M.S. The Dutch team says their findings mean further research should look at using high doses of Prozac, and combining the drug with other treatments for M.S. patients.

More than 1 million people worldwide suffer from the disease.
