LOS ANGELES The victim's car had broken down, so he got out to check on it. A Toyota Sienna, driven by a suspected drunk driver, hit the victim at the westbound 10 Freeway at Robertson Boulevard.
The victim called a friend to help, who says he witnessed the Toyota hit the victim and throw him 40 feet over the side of the freeway.
He was taken to a nearby hospital.
The other driver was given a field sobriety test and taken into custody.
