A man has been arrested for pointing a laser at a police helicopter and three commercial airplanes that were landing at John Wayne Airport.Orange police say they arrested 36-year-old Dana Welch Thursday morning after officers searched his home and found two lasers. Officers in the helicopter say they followed the laser beam to Welch's home.
Pointing lasers at cockpits can be dangerous to the flight crew because lasers can cause temporary sight impairment to the pilot.
