First MLK grandchild born in Atlanta

ATLANTA A family spokeswoman says the wife of Martin Luther King III gave birth to Yolanda Renee King today at a hospital in Atlanta.

The spokeswoman says the mother and baby are healthy.

The baby was named after the civil rights leader's eldest daughter, who died in May of last year.

Martin Luther King III was married shortly after his mother Coretta's death in January of 2006, but the wedding was not made public until this year.

He was the first of Martin Luther King Junior's four children to marry and the first to have a child.
