Small plane crashes into Big Bear home

BIG BEAR CITY The single-engine Cessna plane had flown from Torrance Airport and was trying to land when it crashed into a parked boat in a driveway. The plane was headed to Big Bear Airport, located on the eastern shore of Big Bear Lake.

The plane crashed between two houses in a Big Bear City neighborhood, but the pilot escaped with minor injuries. The plane struck power lines as it descended, but did not spark a fire.

The pilot, 39-year-old Audra Ellen Cramer of Redondo Beach, was taken to a local hospital. She suffered minor injuries and was reportedly in stable condition at a nearby hospital.

One of the homes sustained minor damage.

Cramer told emergency personnel she experienced difficulty during final approach, but it's unclear what that difficulty was.
