Schools raise student lunch prices

NORWALK The Norwalk - La Mirada district is raising prices 25 cents a meal.

Children who receive free or subsidized lunches won't be affected, but parents who pay for their kids' lunches will have to dig deeper into their pockets.

District officials say some of their suppliers can no longer honor their bids.

The district and others are forced to pass their increased costs on to students.
